Acadia

Acadia National Park is like no other place on Earth. From its mountaintops of rosy granite to its cobblestone beaches, everywhere you turn, you find beauty.

Lake Moraine Sunrise

Canadian Rockies

The sheer number and beauty of lakes, rivers, and mountain views along the Canadian Rockies takes your breath away! The turquoise color of the glacier-fed lakes is caused by floating sediment that reflects light back up through the water. These images were captured in August when there is no ice cap on the water.

Eastern Sierra

What do I love about the Eastern Sierra mountains of California? So full of magnificent features and marvelous views — sunrises, sunsets, mountains, lakes, fall color of aspens and cottonwoods. And the occasional surprises of a clearing storm or an unknown reflective pond.

Mesa Arch Sunburst

High Desert

The higher elevation deserts and mountains are grouped here in this portfolio. These include National and State Parks and Recreation Areas in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah. Lots of red rock, aspens, cottonwoods, and clear blue skies! And where there’s water, reflections too!

Eternal Wisdom Is Always With You

North America

While I love photographing deserts, mountains, and the oceans, this portfolio brings together many smaller “inland” collections — among them, Cape Cod National Seashore, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Denali National Park, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Waterfalls of North Carolina, and the Morton Arboretum near my home base.

Orange Delight

Southwest

This portfolio includes iconic scenes of the most beautiful locations of the Southwest — Antelope Canyon, Anza-Borrego Desert, Death Valley,  and Joshua Tree.  These deserts are often referred to as the “low” desert.

The higher deserts of Northern Arizona, Utah, New Mexico, and the Eastern Sierra range are equally plentiful in their beauty, and deserve their own portfolio.

Water Color

West Coast

The coast of Oregon offers so many vantage points for photographing waves, lighthouses, and shorelines.

This portfolio also includes images from further inland, the waterfalls of the Columbia River Gorge.
